Monthly Doctrine Class
Our doctrine class will meet monthly on Saturday mornings. Through doctrine, God helps us to understand how we have acted in sin and how he has responded in grace. We are not saved by the doctrine, but by the historical things God has willingly and graciously done on our behalf. Doctrine explains those things to us so we can admit our need, reach out for God’s help, and move forward in a new and better way. It is a beautiful way to know God and ourselves better, while growing in our relationship with him.

Recollections
A recollection is a sacred pause, inviting us to detach from the business of our daily lives. It offers an opportunity to reflect, recharge, and deepen our connection with God. In these moments of retreat, we engage in prayer, meditation, and spiritual teachings to renew our faith and nurture our souls. It is a time to rediscover the essence of love, learning how to extend compassion, kindness, and empathy toward others. Join us on this transformative journey of recollection, where we find solace, wisdom, and inspiration to live more fully and love more deeply.

Monthly Soup Kitchen Visits
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." -Mahatma Ghandi
On the first Saturday of the month from 4:30PM to 6:30PM a group of volunteers from Ashlar will attend to the needs of the community at a local soup kitchen. Those attending our doctrine class or recollection on these dates are welcome to spend the day at the centre studying or working before volunteering.
